TAY NGUYEN SUPPLY JOINT STOCK COMPANY DEVELOPED FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR HOUSEHOLDERS OF KRONG PAK ENERGY COOPERATIVE
Recently, Tay Nguyen Durian Joint Stock Company (SARITA) has cooperated with Krong Pac Fruit Cooperative (Dak Lak) to provide financial support and technical training for its members. This helps to form a chain of links between businesses - cooperatives and people from farming to purchasing products.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Sin (living in Phuoc Hoa village, Ea Kenh commune, Krong Pac district) said that his family has more than 1.5 hectares of durians for harvest. Recently, the cooperative cooperated with SARITA Company to consume and purchase products. When linking, cooperative members are supported with technical and financial advice.
“For the family, 10 million dong is insignificant, but it creates trust to link people and businesses. When linking businesses, they send staff to consult and support families to cultivate according to the standards of the importing country. In particular, businesses also commit to purchase at market prices and higher," Mr. Sin said.
Similarly, the family of Mr. Nguyen Van Khai (who lives in Hoa An commune, Krong Pac district) has grown 6 sao of durian for more than 7 years, however, due to lack of investment funds, it faces many difficulties. Because of no investment, every year, Mr. Khai's family's durian garden only earns more than 2 tons.
This is the most difficult family of the cooperative, so SARITA's financial support is free. In addition, SARITA also sent staff to provide technical assistance and scientifically fertilize to improve the yield and quality of Mr. Khai's durian family.
Huynh Cong Dinh's family (living in Ea Knuc commune, Krong Pac district) has a total of 7ha of durian growing land. In which, in Phuoc Hoa village, Mr. Dinh has more than 2ha participating in Krong Pac Fruit Cooperative.
“The fact that businesses provide financial support according to output is actually not much. However, the important thing is the commitment of businesses to people in purchasing. Specifically, people in Phuoc Hoa village have a desire to sell at a higher price than the market.
Otherwise, at market price. In particular, businesses when purchasing need to try to harvest products within 2 cutters. But in the past, many traders came to buy and sell, causing the garden to be affected. People are willing to share with businesses the price of each product," Dinh shared.
Choose businesses with enough resources to associate
Pham Anh Tuan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Krong Pac Fruit Cooperative, said that the cooperative was established in 2020 with the goal of supporting members to officially export durian to the Chinese market.
Recently, the cooperative has established and was granted 23 area codes by the General Department of Customs of China with an area of 1,200 ha for 1,500 households. The area of the cooperative has been granted a code equivalent to an export output of 30,000 tons of fresh durian.
In order to make the purchase of products of its members stable, the cooperative agreed to select reputable purchasing and exporting units to accompany them. In which, SARITA is the unit selected by the cooperative after assessing the facilities and technical investment.
"The cooperative plans to select 3 investors to associate with the unit in order to buy products for members in a competitive way," Mr. Tuan said.
According to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Krong Pac Fruit Cooperative, when associated, SARITA has a program of financial investment, scientific and technical support. Especially, enterprises with the orientation to improve the quality of durian for export are the most important.
“The cooperative considers that the orientation of the enterprise is suitable for the unit, so it cooperates in purchasing. SARITA's financial investment helps to increase the association of members with cooperatives and businesses. When receiving finance, members are also responsible for their products. In addition, some members of the cooperative also encountered difficulties in the investment process.
Therefore, this is also a very timely support to improve product quality. Up to now, the business has supported 2 times with the amount of 2.5 billion VND. When investing, businesses are not bound to buy and sell products. After that, the price will be decided by the two parties, so people are willing to participate," Mr. Tuan said.
Mr. Vu Hoang Huynh, General Director of Tay Nguyen Durian Joint Stock Company, said that the company's association policy for cooperatives and people has been granted a planting area code to support VND 50 million/ha for investment. garden.
“When linking, businesses will purchase and consume 100% of the output in the form of buckets or classification chosen by the people. In the process of linking, people feel that the price offered by the enterprise is not equal to other units, they can sell it out. Households receiving the support now only need to pay back the money and the interest rate according to the bank at the time of support, "Mr. Huynh informed.
Mr. Huynh added that the second support program of the enterprise is to give each household 10 million dong to buy fertilizers and plant protection drugs. Later, when people sell 100% of the output to businesses, this amount will not be refunded. In case people do not sell products, this amount will be returned to businesses.
“When connecting with SARITA, there will be a team of experts to take soil and water samples to test to give appropriate technical advice for each garden. Besides, the company also supports people with electronic diaries. Every day, people will fill in farming information in the diary. When implementing this program, businesses want to improve the quality of durian in Dak Lak in particular and the country in general," Huynh said.
With the above policy, SARITA has cooperated with Krong Pac Fruit Cooperative on an area of more than 300ha. Up to now, the enterprise has disbursed 2 times, providing financial support of more than 2.5 billion VND to people. For households wishing to link businesses, continue to implement financial support in the near future.
